Aren’t travel consultants a thing of the past?

Why would I book with an agency instead of on my own or with a travel supplier?
Well, I don't know about you, but when I am investing hundreds or thousands of dollars, I like to know there is going to be someone accountable and available to ask and answer questions, a human with a real interest in my needs and someone who will be honest and unbiased. Someone who has training, experience, and contacts to make things go smoothly. Our clients love that they don't have to worry about researching for hours and still not be sure of what they found "online". They come back because they enjoy having everything looked after, and especially when things go wrong or become complicated.
Will I pay more to book through an agency rather than an online seller myself?
I don't know where that myth got started but it is fake news. Perhaps other agencies do charge more, but in our case, you will never pay more for the same product purchased through our agency than what you would online or direct with the supplier - Guaranteed. All our offers are at the same price as online or even lower by applying our industry pricing or promotional offers not shown to the general public.
Do I have to pay upfront?
Great question. For most airfare, payment is required at the time of booking. However, if you are a corporate client we can review payment terms that best fit your book of business. If you are doing a vacation package, we often only require a deposit to secure your trip. Ask us for more information when you are booking and we will be happy to review what options are available. We also have clients who prefer to set up a prepaid account with us, so basically an automated payment to us is set up by you, similar to a savings account, and by the time you are ready to book your travel your costs are already covered by the funds in your travel account with us. So easy!
What do I do if I need to cancel or change my already-booked travel plans?
This is where we can really help you out. Instead of you wasting time and being frustrated contacting all the different 1-800 numbers trying to explain over and over again what has happened, you just make ONE CALL to us or email, and we look after it all.
Is medical travel insurance necessary when travelling within Canada?
Government health insurance plans do have limits on the reimbursement of the emergency medical expenses incurred while in another province. For example, air and ground ambulance costs, emergency dental treatment and prescription drugs might not be covered outside your province of residence. For maximum protection, you should purchase additional medical coverage even while travelling within Canada.
How much does travel insurance cost?
The cost of travel insurance depends on the policy chosen and the details of coverage. In cases of medical insurance, it will also depend on your age and pre-existing conditions.
Why doesn’t your agency sell travel insurance?
Travel has become complicated and insurance even more complicated. We are focusing on what we do best and that is navigating travel with you. We recommend speaking with an insurance expert for your travel insurance needs as they are better equipped to help you and ensure you get what you are looking for than we are. Speak with your bank as they may have an insurance division, or contact your regular insurance provider for options they can provide. Some tour operators, cruise lines, and airlines offer in-house insurance and we are happy to explain those options with you.
